The MH-C801D features EIGHT independent circuits that charge ONE to EIGHT AA or AAA batteries in any combination.
LCD Display
The MH-C801D charger incorporates a large LCD screen displaying the charging status of each battery. The English-language-based display (CHARGE, DONE, CONDITIONING, etc) replaces traditional LED indicators.
Selectable Soft and Rapid Charge Modes
The MH-C801D provides user with the option to choose between a soft charge and a fast charge mode. The soft charge delivers the highest battery life and allows 100% compatibility with older, lower capacity batteries. The fast charge allows eight batteries to be fully charged to their maximum capacity in around one hour!
Built-in Deep Battery Conditioning System
The Eight Cell charger is embedded with a high-rate battery conditioner that will charge, deep-discharge and recharge batteries automatically for maximum rejuvenation.
Precision Microprocessor Controlled

Conclusion
This product is a good example of a good compromise between features, charge rate and price. If you are in an environment where AA and AAA batteries are constantly being used, we highly recommend this charger.
Some of you may have a family, and this is a perfect example of battery charging conflict. My two boys have digital cameras, MP3 players, walkmans and the list goes on. In this environment, a small 4 battery AAA / AA charger doesn't fit the bill.
The 8 independent channels and LCD display gives everyone independent access to insert and remove their rechargeable batterieswhen needed.
Tested on Energizer 2000mAh(5 years old dead battery back alive) and Sony 2500/2700mAh.
